Part 2 of Body Language Screams…Maturity reveals ALL.

Maturity reveals all.

Your level of maturity doesn’t come with age, it comes with accepting responsibility. That’s not to say that with time your maturity won’t grow. It will grow a lot quicker though, the day you decide to take full responsibility for yourself. That time could be right now. That is all up to you. 

Responsibility; execution of the things you need to execute, complete acceptance of the results of your actions.

How responsible are you when it comes to executing?

How responsible are you when it comes to owning the results of your actions?

 How responsible you are will be revealed. Your lack of maturity will be exposed in time. Maybe you have been skating by for so long now you can’t even see the pathetic level of responsibility you’ve taken for yourself. Sometimes the circumstances allow it, sometimes you need the help of someone to help call you out to then build you up. However, at all times, you have the choice to decide what you will allow from yourself. And unfortunately, for far too long you have taken zero responsibility, so really, you have zero maturity.

No responsibility, no maturity, sounds like an individual in need of a brutal awakening. 

How responsible are you?

THE BLAME GAME.

It’s always someone or something else’s fault. The job didn’t get done. The reason why simply does not matter. Now you’re probably right, the circumstances might have made things more difficult than you were expecting. Still, though, the job didn’t get done. So, blaming the person who was a bad communicator really doesn’t matter. Blaming your lack of experience really doesn’t matter. Blaming the lack of time to get it done really doesn’t matter. There will always be plenty of blame, some of which actually valid. Those factors all contributed to an increase in the degree of difficulty, but the job didn’t get done. The day you stop blaming and begin accepting your failure to get the job done will be the day you take the first step forward in fixing it. Stop blaming, start owning.

THE VICTIM. 

Poor you. You were given all of this responsibility, most of which you asked for but poor you. You can’t be serious right now. How crazy is that? You worked for years to earn the responsibility, the trust, and the position, and now all you can do is play the victim card. Now, sometimes it can be difficult. No doubt about it. One simple shift in your mind can change everything. Are you going to continue settling as the victim, or will you overcome and become the victor? It’s easy to say it’s too late to overcome. Bullshit. Eliminate the victim mind, replace it with acceptance of your failure, and overcome. Be the victor.

DAILY DECISIONS.

 Bad decisions will lead to bad results. The decisions you make on a daily basis will compile into the days, weeks, and months you put in. What daily decisions are you making that are helping or hurting you right now? Every decision has a consequence, good or bad, the consequence will be revealed by the results of your time. You make so many decisions every day, some big, some small. All of them significant. This one is simple; make better daily decisions and you will get better results. Just decide. Make the decision to make better decisions.

What does your maturity reveal? Maybe you are right on track, you take responsibility no matter what. Or maybe, you have some significant changes to make. 

Either way, whatever you do now. Just remember one thing. In time, maturity reveals all.
